By using this site, you agree to follow the site rules and policies set by the staff team.

Staff may update these terms at any time.

General

  • You may only have one account. Players found abusing this rule will be banned.
  • The recommended age limit for the World of Kumikan is 16+, due to certain themes that may not be fit for younger audiences, including, but not limited to, violence, gore, horror, language, and other certain fantasy/sci-fi elements. User discretion is advised.

Behavior & Character

  • Do not speak ill of other players or staff.
    • If you are having issues with another player, you are free to submit a claim to staff.
    • If you are having issues with another staff member, you are free to privately message heliote via site PM or Discord DM.
  • Be courteous of your RP partners. Do not go beyond the bounds of comfortability. Do not God mod.
  • Ensure that all deals are upheld. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
  • Absolutely no discrimination or harassment of any kind will be allowed. This includes hate speech, threats, racial/homophobic/transphobic/etc. slurs, sexism, etc. Sexual harassment within and outside the server will result in a blacklist.
  • Do not ask about future plans, species introductions, special features, etc. All information will be released in time and in a way that flows with the game's progression.
  • Do not ask when staff will process requests. Please be patient and understanding.
    • We are all volunteers working on our own time.
    • We have a system set up to get submissions done as smoothly as we can, but there will be lulls and occasionally some days where submissions will not be handled.

Story Progression

  • You do not have to participate in the lore and story progression of this ARPG.
  • You do not have to participate in each chapter or side story.
  • You can go out of order in each chapter and side story if you wish, but it must be labeled in the piece that it does not follow the original order of the story.
  • Be respectful in regards to any cultural depictions in your art or stories.
  • Any explicit content must be labeled as such with a filter.
  • Add trigger and content warnings where necessary.

USD & Group Sales

  • All official purchases from the group are non-refundable. All purchases are made through PayPal with the "Goods and services" option checked.
  • Resales are allowed for no more than the price they were purchased at.

Copyright

  • You are not permitted to upload any import templates to your account or any other site. Only accounts managed by World of Kumikan may post import templates.
  • The human import templates may not be used for anything outside of the group. You may post them to your account with your own character design on it.
  • You are free to take inspiration from the game and the group, but direct plagiarism will not be tolerated.
  • All designs purchased and/or created are owned by the buyer or current owner. Designs may be used and transferred outside of the group, but the species owned by World of Kumikan may not. Only the design is owned, not the character and species. If desired, the character and design can be surrendered back to the group.

Art Rules & Guidelines

  • All art must be original, and the person uploading the art should be the creator.
    • There is absolutely no tolerance for art theft, including, but not limited to, tracing, copying, AI training, etc.
    • If a collaboration is in effect, both parties may upload their pieces. Proper credit should be given in both images.
    • Bases are not permitted in any activities, prompts, events, or any area that has the potential for rolls or rewards. Bases are only permitted where the only rewards granted are Social Points (SP).
  • Brushes and stamps are permitted as tools, but are not sufficient enough for a completed piece. Adding hand drawn elements or supplementing additional elements to the brushes/stamps is enough to complete the image.
  • All art should contain filters where necessary. Include content and trigger warnings as necessary.
  • Directly tracing from photos is not allowed in the group, and heavily referenced images have the potential to be turned down at staff discretion. Heavily referenced drawings must have received permission to use the photo. You may be asked to submit proof of permission and must comply if a staff member asks for it.
  • Photomanipulations are subject to refusal at staff discretion. There must be clear effort depicted and the piece must be heavily edited - this does not include heavily adjusting color filters. Photomanipulations must be made solely from stock photos with links back to the original photos and proof of permissions.
  • Oversimplified art will receive a penalty in activities, prompts, events, or any area that has the potential for rolls or rewards. Oversimplified art will also receive a docked amount of Social Points (SP).

  • Art created with AI, no matter the amount, will not be accepted. Anyone using AI will be suspended or banned.
  • Only art posted to the World of Kumikan galleries will be used for the game.

Player Infractions

  • World of Kumikan follows a strike-based system. Strikes are given at staff discretion. Multiple strikes can be given based on the severity of the offense. Staff can administer an immediate ban if the offense is severe enough.
  • Strikes can be removed over time or based on good behavior.
  • Minor infractions will result in a warning. Repeated offenses will result in one strike.
  • Two strikes results in a one week ban from all group activities, including trading with other players. A one week timeout will also be administered in the Discord server.
  • Three strikes results in a one month ban from all group activities, including trading with other players. A one month timeout will also be administered in the Discord server.
  • Repeated offenses past the three strike mark will result in a ban. Bans can be appealed in 6 months via the Discord server. The player's deviantArt account will be banned from the group until an appeal is made and approved. The player's account will also be frozen and banned on any and all other platforms used by the group.
  • Some offenses will result in a blacklist. Blacklisted players are permanently banned from the group with no chance for appeal.
